PDA in Planning and Implementing Change

Planning and Implementing Change offers you the opportunity to develop you competence, knowledge and skills in planning and implementing change. The award has been developed through rigorous research involving employers, centres and potential candidates of the qualification. The award makes use of the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for managment as specified by the Council for Administration (CFA). It means that by doing the award you will be able to demonstate that, in your work as a manager, you are able to operate in accordance with these national standards. Successin the award will mean that you will have proof that your work is up to national standards. In this way you can contribute to your own future and to that of the organistion you work for.

Entry Requirments: Must be work within a care setting and support of a manager to undertake the award.

Who's this course for

This PDA will help you to progress to further managment awards such as the full SVQ Managment at level 3, 4 or 5, depending on the mangment position you occupy and your experience as a manager.

Qualification

On successful completion of this Professional Development Award (PDA) in Planning and Implementing Change. This qualification has been designed to meet the requirments of social service workers who are in a job role where they assist in or administer Planning or Implementing Change.

Content

The PDA in Planning and Implementing Change at SCQF Level 9 is made up of two mandatory units:

  • C5 Plan Change
  • C6 Implement Change

Method

A mixture of independent and guided learning. This means you must be able to attend a half day online workshop once a fortnight for a minimum of 5-6 sessions. In between these sessions you will have some research/study/assignment work. Assesment is ongoing and will take form of written reflective accounts and observation in the workplace.
