Welcome to our Emergency Paediatric First Aid course, designed to equip you with essential skills to respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations involving children. This course covers crucial topics such as the role of the Paediatric First Aider, primary survey, choking, resuscitation (CPR, including the safe use of an AED), minor injuries, wounds, bleeding, shock, and the recovery position.

Course Format

The Emergency Paediatric First Aid course will be delivered in an interactive face-to-face classroom environment. This session will include a combination of theoretical presentations, practical demonstrations, group discussions, case studies, and hands-on activities. Experienced instructors will guide participants, allowing ample opportunities to practice skills in a safe learning environment.

Assessment Methods & Certification

Participants will undergo continuous assessment during the course, which includes practical demonstrations and knowledge-based evaluations. Successful completion of the assessments will result in certification. This course is certificated by NUCO Training is valid for 3 years, participants can renew it through further training or recertification. It is best practice to attend an Annual First Aid Refresher each year in between.

Length: The course duration is approximately 7 hours, which includes breaks and a lunch period.

Prerequisites: No prerequisites are required for participants to enrol in this course.

Required Materials: Participants are required to wear appropriate footwear and clothing during the practical sessions.
