SVQ Business & Administration

With a new year we bring a new SVQ.CTC are pleased to announce that we are now recruiting to our newly approved SVQ in Business and Administration Level 2, 3 & 5.SVQs in Business and Administration are designed to equip those working in business and administration with the skills and knowledge they need to demonstrate competence in their job role.

SVQs in Business and Administration are designed for people at various levels within business organisations and are therefore appropriate to many job roles, from junior administrators through to office managers.

Launch of new Online course Level 1 Adult Support and Protection

The Public Protection Communication and Engagement Subcommittee and Care Training Consortium (CTC) are delighted to launch a new online Level 1 Adult Support and Protection awareness course. The course is free to all providers and agencies across Dumfries and Galloway and seeks to raise awareness of adult support and protection. A certificate will be sent following completion of the course

Candidate of the Month

This month’s nominated candidate of the month is Sharron Wilson.Working for Crossroads as a home carer Sharron was initially apprehensive about starting her SVQ award as she had been out of education for several years.However, this has not stopped Sharron’s progression with her SVQ demonstrating a high level of knowledge and understanding in all areas of her work.Meeting deadlines on time Sharron is near completion of her award. We wish her well, and congratulations from all at CTC for being our candidate of the month.

Current Training Guidance

With Government guidance comes further suspension to our planned face to face training. If you require ‘essential’ training for your company to function, then please contact us for a discussion.

First Aid Awards in Mental Health

We are now an accredited NUCO training provider and offer mental health first aid training! These courses are aimed at providing learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost the person towards professional help.

The training offered will change over different periods of the year and in relation to changes in practice, we need to keep this fresh & up to date.
